The Triduum - The Holy Days of our Salvation

Will you love as He has loved you? This is a heroic kind of love! And it is the love that we were created for!! By the gift of His very life dwelling in us, the power of the Holy Spirit, we are made members of the Body of Christ - we are all called to love with a love like His. Are we man enough? Are we woman enough? Will we allow ourselves to be ruled by this culture or by our passions, or be ruled by the King of Love? Will we have the courage to say yes to the specific life of love He has planned for us, which means our true happiness?

This is the love that everyone is looking for in all the wrong places. Say yes to His call, and be a minister of the grace the world is dying for.

Father,
Many times we are faced with sharing God in ungoldy places. But the problem is is that we Christians have already been formed as steriotypes: people who only care about you joining them in prudehood. This greatly discourages me, and I dont know how to share the Word without turning people off, or being too forceful- or just scaring them with intellectual conversation-thus causing a withdrawal and losing all possibility to effectively communicate. We are told by St. Francis of Asissi "Preach the gospel constantly, and when necessary use words." How do you know when to use words, and how to approach those with whom you wish to share your hope?
thanks!

Katherine,
Please forgive the long time it has taken me to post and respond to your question.
To answer it simply - it is by prayer. The Holy Spirit provides for us gifts, especially wisdom knowledge and understanding, which help us discern how we know when to use words and even how to approach someone to share the hope we hold in Jesus Christ. It is one of those moments like when you speak with someone, perhaps even answering some inquiry about the faith, and you think in one moment that you are not sure how to explain it, but in the next moment, as you answer, you think to yourself, "Wow, I have to remember that - that was really good!" The Holy Spirit, whom Jesus promised would remind us and teach us of all things, works powerfully in a soul who is willing. This willingness is increased the more we approach Him in prayer. There are promises related to the devotion of the Sacred Heart that are real, and have a lot to do with this. So, my encouragement for this is to nurture a relationship in your prayer life with the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament, as well as with the Holy Spirit, praying for the gifts!
With promise of prayers!
